packed houses at the magnificent Lyric Theatre. The show is a must
watch for Michael Jackson lovers.
If you are an
ardent fan of the King of Pop then check out some of the popular musical
numbers. The musical show comprises of songs from both The Jackson Five and
Michael as a solo artist. Thriller Live features some of the iconic songs such
as "I Want You Back", "Smooth Criminal", "Billie
Jean" etc.
On August 2006,
the original production made its preview at the Dominion Theatre in London's
West End. Under the supervision of theatrical producer Adrian Grant, the show
was a huge success and was followed by a successful UK and European tour in the
year 2007. Under the superb direction and choreography of Kerys Nathan, the original
cast featured Pop Idol singer Zoe Birkit in one of the adult singing roles, whereas
young Shaheen Jafargholi, star of Britain's Got Talent as the young Michael
Jackson.
Under the
magnificent direction and choreography of Gary Lloyd, the show made its opening
in the West End on 21st January 2009. After the death Michael Jackson on June
25th 2009, the show garnered immense curiosity amongst the theatre lovers.
The
spectacular London musical, Thriller Live has
been enjoyed globally across 29 countries by more than 3 million theatre lovers.
The spectacular concert-style show, currently stars 90’s pop sensation Cleo
Higgins. She was the lead singer of girl group Cleopatra with top five hits
with “Cleopatra’s Theme”, Life Ain’t Easy” and their cover of The Jackson
Five’s “I Want You Back”. The two hours and twenty minutes show is recommended
for 8+ kids.
The Lyric
Theatre is located on a popular road known as Shaftesbury Avenue. It is
positioned amongst an overwhelming selection of lively bars and restaurants. Leicester
Square and Piccadilly Circus are located at a nearby distance from the theatre
with the restaurants of Chinatown a brief stroll down the road.
